Abstract:
Commemorative medals or medallions, chiefly with portraits of British, French, and other European literary figures. Several
exposition souvenirs are present, including the Massachusetts Bay Colony Tercentenary, the Panama-Pacific International Exposition,
and the Golden Gate International Exposition. One item represents the 1906 earthquake and fire in San Francisco, and was designed
by Louis Bottee. Other figures commemorated include Earl Howe; Charles, Marquis Cornwallis; the Duke of York; Friedrich Nietzsche;
Frederick the Great; Dante; and Rembrandt, among others.
